In Cuba, the celebration of San Lázaro on December 17 is a major festival.
In the village of El Rincon, outside Havana, Saint Lazarus day is celebrated
with a pilgrimage to a chapel housing an image of
Saint Lazarus, one of Cuba's most sacred icons.
As they do every year, thousands of Cubans flock to the Havana sanctuary in
a massive show of faith to venerate and give thanks to
St. Lazarus with their penance, pledges and offerings.
These traditional medals are made from the highest-grade pewter.
Every Medal comes with a 24" stainless steel chain
and in a jewelry box.
